Media literacy is learning to analyze and critique the media youth use and are exposed to on a daily basis. This is an important component of reducing bullying and breaking the cycle of violence and abuse. It is critical that youth learn to question the messages in the media regarding body image, stereotypes, what is normal, what is beauty and what is respectful and kind behavior. The following are links with resources and information for using media literacy in your work with youth.
