Building Kind Schools and Communities

Activities, Lesson Plans and Strategies

To foster respect, empathy and kindness as an integral part of a school’s culture it is helpful to include as often as possible lessons and activities that reinforce them and their importance.  There is an abundance of suggestions and resources that assist with integrating these values into every subject area and classroom level.  Most of them can be adapted to different age levels.  Most of them can also be adapted for use at home and organizations that work with youth.  Of course, it is imperative that the adults walk the talk.
